19th Century Monumental Delft Ginger Jar

Beautiful monumental size 19th century delft ginger jar. It features a classic octagonal/faceted baluster body with a domed, bell-shaped lid. Dense floral and foliage decoration in cobalt blue, with lighter washes for shading. A small bird motif tucked among the flowers. A sculpted  lion or foo dog as a finial on the lid. Bands of geometric border patterns separating the lid and shoulder from the main field.
