Delft “Peacock” Plate, Circa 1750’s

This is a classic piece of 18th century Delft. The central motif shows a decorative urn overflowing with flowers and large palm/fern fronds — a hallmark of Dutch Delft “flower vase” compositions that were heavily inspired by Chinese Kangxi - period porcelain. The rim features alternating large peony - like floral medallions and paneled fence/trellis sections, surrounded by dense scrollwork.
