Famille Rose Ginger Jar

Rose Medallion ginger jar. It features the classic ovoid “ginger jar” shape with a domed lid, ending in a raised finial-like cap. The main scene shows figures in a garden/courtyard setting - a common Rose Medallion motif alternating panels of figures with panels of birds/flowers, all framed by dense floral and fruit boarders. The pink/rose enamels, iron-red, and gilt-highlighted green are hallmarks of famille rose ware.
